Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager with deep healthcare payer experience to lead projects within a highly complex, transaction-intensive ecosystem. You will manage diverse initiatives—ranging from claims system enhancements and system-to-system integrations to customer service functionality and root cause analysis for system latency.

This role requires a unique blend of project management discipline, hands-on technical background (documentation, coding, QA, design, performance optimization), and exceptional communication skills to bridge deep technical concepts with logical, accessible explanations for non-technical stakeholders.

You will lead virtual, on-shore/off-shore teams, manage client-facing presentations, and maintain a calm, confident demeanor that balances urgency with poise. Flexibility in work hours is essential to accommodate project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for healthcare payer systems, including claims, integrations, and performance optimization
  • Translate complex technical details into clear, logical communications for diverse audiences
  • Produce documentation tailored to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage task dependencies, prerequisites, and timelines with precision
  • Facilitate virtual leadership across distributed teams to achieve shared outcomes
  • Deliver client-facing updates and presentations that build confidence and demonstrate aptitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare payer background (required)
  • Fundamental project management discipline (PMP, CSM, or equivalent work experience preferred but not required)
  • Hands-on solution development experience in healthcare payer industry (documentation, coding, QA, design, performance optimization, etc.)
  • Proven experience leading on-shore/off-shore teams to positive results
  • Excellent task management and dependency mapping
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate client/project needs
  • Calm, confident demeanor with a sense of urgency

Salary/Rate: $60-$75/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
