Job Description:

Our client is seeking Dynamic 365 Business Systems Analyst (Equipment Finance/Leasing Systems) to join their team. This is a business-facing role for someone who deeply understands the equipment leasing lifecycle — from origination and quoting through booking, contract management, and asset servicing — and who can apply that knowledge to improve how our systems support the business.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with a lessor back-office platform such as LeasePlus, Odessa, Solifi, or equivalent. They know how these systems model leases, assets, and contracts, and can look at a workflow and quickly identify where technology can eliminate friction or manual effort.

Equally important is working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 as our CRM and origination platform. The right candidate makes configuration changes and administrative updates directly in Dynamics 365, partners with our development team on more complex work, and uses AI tools where they accelerate the work. They make the changes they can directly, and provide clear, well-structured handoffs to developers when changes require deeper technical work.

How You Will Work:

  • Your day-to-day will blend leasing business expertise with systems knowledge and practical problem-solving. A typical engagement might look like this:
  • A business stakeholder raises a friction point in the origination or booking workflow.
  • You understand it immediately because you know the leasing process — you know how LeasePlus or an equivalent system structures the deal, and you know how Dynamics 365 supports (or doesn't support) the current flow.
  • You assess whether the fix is a CRM configuration change, an administrative update, or something that requires development work.
  • If it's within scope for configuration, you make the change directly, test it, and close the loop with the stakeholder.
  • If it requires advanced development, you use AI tools to help draft the requirements, prototype the logic, and produce a clear handoff package for the dev team — so developers spend their time building, not clarifying.
  • You oversee the work through testing and sign-off, ensuring the outcome actually solves the business problem.
  • You are the person who understands the business well enough to know what needs to be built, and who bridges the gap between leasing operations and the technical work that supports it.

Key Responsibilities:

Leasing Systems & Business Process

  • Serve as subject matter expert on equipment leasing operations, deal flow, and back-office processes — drawing on direct experience with Dynamics CRM which holds the origination to booking process. Knowing one of the following platforms is a plus: LeasePlus, Odessa, Solifi, or a comparable lessor platform.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows across origination, quoting, credit, booking, contract management, and asset lifecycle using a strong understanding of how lessor systems model these processes.
  • Engage directly with business stakeholders across originations, operations, and finance to understand pain points and translate them into actionable system improvements.
  • Stay current on leasing platform capabilities and evaluate how new features or configurations can serve the business.

CRM Administration & Configuration:

  • Administer Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales as the primary CRM supporting our origination-to-booking process.
  • Make configuration and administrative changes directly in Dynamics 365 — including updates to entities, fields, views, business rules, business process flows, workflows, and security roles — without requiring developer involvement for routine changes.
  • Maintain and extend custom HTML web resources and Jscriptt-driven form logic that power purpose-built UIs within Dynamics 365.
  • Support Power Automate flows and basic Power Apps configurations that extend CRM functionality for business users.
  • Maintain system hygiene, user access, security model, and documentation for the CRM environment.

Solution Design & Development Partnership:

  • Participate in architectural and design decisions — weighing build-vs-buy trade-offs, evaluating data model options, and recommending solutions that fit the complexity of our business.
  • Use AI tools (such as Claude) to accelerate requirements gathering, draft process documentation, and prototype lightweight solutions or configuration logic.
  • Produce clear, well-structured requirements packages and technical handoff materials for the development team when changes exceed configuration scope.
  • Partner with the development team on more complex CRM enhancements, back-office integrations, and automation initiatives — providing business and systems context so developers can work efficiently.
  • Own user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes, validating that solutions behave correctly in the context of real leasing workflows.
  • Maintain documentation for system changes, configurations, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on lessor platform experience. Direct experience with an equipment lessor back-office platform — LeasePlus, Odessa, Solifi, or directly comparable. IF you don’t know any of these you will need to have a finance background so you can pick it up.
  • Leasing lifecycle expertise. Deep working knowledge of the equipment leasing lifecycle: origination, credit, quoting, booking, contract management, and asset servicing.
  • Dynamics 365 administration. 3+ years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / Sales in an administrative, configuration, or functional capacity, with the ability to make configuration changes independently — entities, workflows, business process flows, security roles, views, and forms.
  • Lessor organization experience. Experience working in or directly supporting a lessor organization — or a financial services background
  • Communication. Strong communication skills; able to engage credibly with business stakeholders and technical developers alike.
  • AI tool comfort. Comfortable using AI tools (Claude or equivalent) to accelerate requirements gathering, documentation, and prototyping. We always start with AI to build the foundation.
  • Custom UI development. Experience building or maintaining custom HTML web resources and JScript-driven form logic within Dynamics 365.
  • Power Platform. Familiarity with Power Automate, Power Apps (model-driven and canvas), and Dataverse.
  • Integration tooling. Experience with KingswaySoft or similar Dynamics 365 integration tooling, and working knowledge of FetchXML and Microsoft SQL for data queries and ETL troubleshooting.
  • Reporting. Experience with SSRS report development and Power BI for operational visibility would be a plus.
  • Administrative tooling. Familiarity with XrmToolBox for CRM administration tasks.
  • Custom solution familiarity. Familiarity with custom entities and workflows specific to lease origination, debt placement, remarketing, and asset disposition is a strong plus.
  • Domain depth. Background in lease accounting, debt tracking, or financial calculator configuration within a lessor system.

Salary/Rate: $125,000 + benefits.
