Job Description
We are seeking a talented and driven Technical Site Planner to join our client’s growing team. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will collaborate closely with their Sales Team—both in the U.S. and internationally—as well as with end clients to develop detailed technical site plans for MRI and CT installations. This role goes beyond design work; you will act as a vital link between engineering, sales, and customers to ensure smooth, successful installations from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create precise CAD-based architectural and electrical site plans
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Technical Teams to support equipment sales and pre-installation planning.
- Analyze and interpret architectural drawings, floor plans, and power layouts.
- Ensure MRI/CT installation requirements are met—including spatial, electrical, and shielding needs.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and clinic staff to manage installation timelines and milestones.
- Support basic project management tasks such as status updates, risk tracking, and documentation.
- Act as a technical liaison during project execution and conduct on-site visits (U.S. and international) to ensure readiness.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience with CAD software and site planning, especially in fields like medical equipment or construction
- Strong understanding of electrical planning and U.S. building codes
- Ability to read architectural blueprints and electrical layouts
- Solid project coordination skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and logistics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills—able to confidently engage with sales teams, customers, and contractors
- Based in the greater Chicago area, with the ability to work from our Batavia, IL office regularly
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%, including internationally
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Familiarity with MRI systems and imaging environments
- Experience supporting sales or installation planning for capital equipment
- Knowledge of international building codes and cross-border project support
- Certification in CAD or related fields
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar)
Salary: $90,000- $100,000 per year ( depends on experience level)
