Job Description
Our client is looking for a Purchasing Project Coordinator to support the Operational Procurement team. This candidate will work with multiple functions within the purchasing department. The primary job duties will be supporting the operational purchasing team, including BirchStreet project support.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist hotels in BirchStreet implementations including inventory, procurement, and AP.
• Help hotels troubleshoot issues they encounter while using the software and provide actionable tips to resolve the problem.
• Work with team to make procurement software more efficient and escalate issues.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Hotel/Hospitality experience preferred
• Experience in organizing, tracking and reporting information, attention to detail is a must
• Has utilized Excel and Microsoft Suite in daily job functions
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Microsoft Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• BirchStreet e-Procurement
EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED required and 1 year work experience.
Rate: $35/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
