Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Learning Experience Designer designs and delivers performance-based learning experiences that strengthen capability, culture, and business outcomes across global enterprise. Reporting to the Global Learning & Capability team, this contract role partners with HR, operational SMEs, and learning technology teams to translate enterprise priorities into scalable, learner-centered solutions.

This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic design capability and rapid execution. The Learning Experience Designer leads end-to-end efforts—from needs analysis and journey design through development, deployment, measurement and refinement—supporting prioritized global initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong instructional design expertise with an agile, learner-centered mindset and the ability to navigate matrixed stakeholder environments. They are equally comfortable conducting discovery conversations, shaping scalable learning journeys, building digital experiences in modern authoring tools, and managing multiple concurrent priorities with clarity and accountability.

What success looks like in the role:

  • Learning solutions clearly align to defined performance outcomes.
  • Stakeholders view the Learning Experience Designer as a thought partner, not an order taker.
  • Digital experiences are intuitive, modern, and aligned with culture of care.
  • Migration efforts preserve and enhance learning quality while improving learner experience.
  • Projects move forward with clarity, speed, and minimal rework.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design and development of learning experiences that build critical capabilities across global enterprise, including digital, instructor-led, blended, and performance-support solutions.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis in partnership with SMEs and stakeholders to translate business priorities into performance-based learning outcomes and scalable learning journeys.
  • Design and rapidly develop high-quality learning assets (storyboards, eLearning modules, facilitator guides, toolkits, videos, practice activities), balancing speed, rigor, and learner experience.
  • Partner with operational SMEs, facilitators, and HR & business stakeholders to transform complex business concepts into intuitive, behavior-focused learning experiences that are operationally relevant.
  • Manage work intake, prioritize deliverables, and provide clear updates to stakeholders across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring alignment and on-time delivery.
  • Build and publish digital learning using modern authoring tools (Articulate Storyline strongly preferred), owning development through testing, quality assurance, and deployment within learning ecosystem.
  • Ensure learning solutions are accessible, globally inclusive, and aligned with brand standards, design guidelines, and learning frameworks.
  • Support content migration and modernization initiatives (e.g., compliance content transitions, LMS migrations) while maintaining learning integrity and user experience.
  • Define and incorporate appropriate evaluation methods to assess learning effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the evolution of learning practices by introducing innovative design approaches, tools, and methodologies that elevate the colleague learning experience.

Experience And Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in learning experience design, instructional design, or enterprise capability development within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in performance-based instructional design, adult learning principles, and blended learning architecture.
  • Proven ability to conduct learning needs analysis and translate business priorities into clear performance outcomes and scalable learning solutions.
  • Advanced, hands-on experience developing digital learning using modern authoring tools (Articulate Storyline strongly preferred; experience with Rise or equivalent tools required).
  • Experience designing both digital and instructor-led learning for diverse, global audiences.
  • Working knowledge of LMS deployment workflows (uploading, testing, publishing, metadata tagging), with the ability to independently manage quality assurance through launch.
  • Experience applying human-centered design, rapid prototyping, or agile development methodologies in learning environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills; ability to partner effectively with SMEs, HR partners, and business leaders at multiple levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize work, and communicate progress clearly in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, accessibility standards, and inclusive design principles.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting compliance learning, brand training, or operational capability programs.
  • Familiarity with learning analytics, evaluation frameworks, or data-informed learning improvement.
  • Familiarity with basic programming logic, variables, or xAPI concepts.

Salary/Rate: $60-$70/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.

AI-Assisted Interview Experience (Pete & Gabi – Rebecca):

To provide a consistent, fair, and flexible experience for all candidates, we use AI-assisted tools to support parts of the interview process. This includes our proprietary AI platform Pete & Gabi, which includes AI recruiter Rebecca.

These AI hiring tools help us:

  • Conduct recorded video interviews
  • Transcribe interviews

  • Generate job-related insights
  • Streamline communication and scheduling

Please note that:

  • The AI does NOT make hiring decisions; all decisions are made by our human recruiters, hiring managers, or client partners.

If you prefer a non-AI interview format, we will gladly provide an alternative.

Technical or Case Interviews (Role-Dependent):

When applying for certain tech jobs, you may participate in:

  • A technical interview
  • A coding challenge
  • A case study
  • A client-specific assessment

We will always explain what to expect in advance so you can prepare with confidence.

Human Review & Selection: +

Every candidate’s profile—including interviews, conversations, and assessments—is reviewed by experienced recruiters and hiring leaders.

AI insights may assist with organization and evaluation, but final decisions are always human-driven.
