Job Description:

Our client is seeking an The Product Manager – Store Systems to join their team. Product Manager is responsible for defining and delivering software solutions that empower stores, franchisees, and field operations teams to operate more effectively. 

This role will have primary responsibility for the ShiftSmart integration and will also support other capabilities across the broader Store Systems ecosystem. The role focuses on building and enhancing integrated store workflows, improving operational execution, and enabling clear, actionable information across store and enterprise systems. 

As a Product Manager, you will own key capabilities across store-system integrations, and related operational platforms. You will partner closely with store and field leaders, UX, engineering, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure our tools and integrations are intuitive, reliable, scalable, and aligned to real-world operational needs. 

This role is highly stakeholder-focused and requires strong organization, communication, and facilitation skills to translate complex store, integration, and operational challenges into scalable product solutions. 

About the Team:

  • The Store Systems team is responsible for building and evolving related capabilities that support daily store operations, including store data, item and pricing workflows, inventory, ordering, promotions, operational execution, and integrations with other store and enterprise systems. 
  • The team also partners with internal and external platforms to connect store workflows and improve visibility into operational performance. This includes enabling integrations such as ShiftSmart and helping ensure that data, tasks, and outcomes move reliably across systems. 
  • These tools and integrations are critical to simplifying store execution, improving visibility into performance, and enabling more efficient decision-making for stores, franchisees, field teams, and the broader business. 
  • Our mission is to reduce operational complexity, increase store and field productivity, and deliver reliable systems that help stores execute at the highest level. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and evolve product strategy for ShiftSmart integration capabilities, and related Store Systems tools 
  • Translate store, field operations, franchisee, and business needs into a clear product vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog 
  • Identify opportunities to simplify store operations and improve efficiency through integrated digital solutions 

ShiftSmart & Store Systems Integration:

  • Lead product definition and delivery for the ShiftSmart integration, including business requirements, user workflows, data exchange, dependencies, and success measures 
  • Partner with ShiftSmart, engineering, architecture, data, security, and Store Systems teams to establish reliable integration patterns and clear ownership across systems 
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, testing, pilot readiness, rollout planning, and adoption for new ShiftSmart capabilities 
  • Identify and resolve integration gaps, data-quality issues, exception scenarios, and operational risks that could affect stores or field teams 

Store Operations & Enablement:

  • Build and enhance capabilities that support store teams in managing daily operations, including item and pricing workflows, inventory, ordering, promotions, store configuration, and operational information 
  • Improve workflow efficiency by reducing manual effort, fragmentation, and redundant processes across connected systems 
  • Partner with store, field, and business stakeholders to deeply understand operational pain points and translate them into scalable solutions 

Workflow & Systems Innovation:

  • Drive integration across POS, enterprise systems, and external vendor platforms to create a seamless operational experience 
  • Optimize user experience for store, field, mobile, and desktop workflows 
  • Evaluate opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve operational processes through better system connectivity and data availability 

Stakeholder Management & Execution:

  • Act as the primary point of contact across Store Systems, operations, product, technology, vendors, and leadership stakeholders 
  • Facilitate alignment across diverse teams, ensuring clarity on priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs 
  • Clearly articulate product decisions, roadmap updates, integration status, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences 

Product Delivery & Agile Execution:

  • Write and refine user stories, manage backlog grooming, and participate in sprint planning and execution 
  • Work closely with engineering, architecture, design, QA, vendors, and business partners to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions 
  • Lead testing, pilot validation, rollout, operational readiness, and adoption efforts for new features, integrations, and enhancements 

Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement:

  • Define and track KPIs related to adoption, integration reliability, workflow efficiency, operational impact, and store or field outcomes 
  • Leverage data, system performance information, and user feedback to continuously refine workflows and product experiences 
  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve operational processes based on performance insights 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3–5 years of product management experience, preferably in enterprise tools, operations platforms, integrations, workflow systems, or retail technology 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business, technical, vendor, and field teams 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, dependencies, and tradeoffs 
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including backlog management and sprint execution 
  • Experience defining or delivering integrations, APIs, data exchanges, or connected workflows is strongly preferred 
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions and prioritize work 
  • Familiarity with store systems, workflow management, task management, or retail operations is a strong plus 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting retail, field operations, franchise environments, store systems, or workforce-management integrations 
  • Experience working with external vendors and coordinating integration delivery across multiple organizations 
  • Exposure to reporting tools, dashboards, operational analytics, or integration monitoring 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus) 

Salary/Rate: $50-$55/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
