Job Description:

Our client is seeking an Senior Product Manager – Enterprise Integration & Data Platforms. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining and delivering capabilities across FMSA integration layer and Trustwell platform. As works toward the July 2028 compliance date for the FSMA Section 204 Food Traceability Rule, this role will translate complex business, operational, traceability, compliance, and technology needs into clear product requirements that enable reliable data exchange, efficient workflows, and effective application use across the ecosystem.

You will own the product requirements and user stories for integrations from upstream and downstream systems into the middleware layer, as well as integrations between the middleware layer and the Trustwell platform. A key focus of this role is understanding how data is created, structured, transformed, validated, governed, and consumed across disparate systems, and translating that complexity into clear, actionable requirements. In addition, you will lead requirements for Trustwell application configuration, reporting, workflows, user roles, and permissions to ensure the platform supports business needs and delivers a consistent user experience.

The ideal candidate combines strong product management fundamentals with platform thinking, meaningful integration experience, and the ability to understand complex data relationships across disparate enterprise systems. This person will provide stakeholder leadership and operate effectively across Engineering, Demand Chain, Merchandising, Trustwell users, and other business partners.

About the Team:

The Digital Product Management – Demand Chain & Logistics team is responsible for building and evolving the digital capabilities that support planning, execution, visibility, and optimization across demand chain and logistics ecosystem. The FMSA integration layer and Trustwell tool are important components of this ecosystem, helping connect enterprise systems, enable business workflows, support reporting, and provide users with the information and capabilities needed to execute effectively.

What You’ll Do:

FSMA Compliance Readiness & Product Planning:

  • Drive product planning and prioritization for the FMSA integration layer and Trustwell platform against a singular objective: delivering the capabilities required to support July 2028 FSMA Section 204 compliance objective.
  • Understand how data is created, structured, transformed, governed, and consumed across disparate systems, including source-of-truth considerations and downstream impacts.
  • Translate FSMA Section 204 requirements and stakeholder needs into a clear delivery plan, prioritized backlog, measurable milestones, and actionable product requirements.
  • Define and track product success metrics, adoption measures, data quality indicators, traceability-readiness measures, and operational KPIs.
  • Develop data-backed business cases and recommendations for new capabilities, enhancements, and technical investments.

Integration Layer & Middleware Requirements:

  • Own the user stories and detailed product requirements for integrations from connected enterprise systems into the FMSA middleware layer.
  • Define requirements for integrations between the middleware layer and the Trustwell platform, including data movement, business rules, validation, exception handling, and downstream impacts.
  • Define requirements to capture, transform, validate, and transmit traceability-related data needed to support FSMA Section 204 readiness.
  • Analyze end-to-end data flows across disparate systems and identify gaps in data definitions, formats, timing, ownership, quality, and availability.
  • Define source-to-target mappings, field-level transformations, business rules, data validation, error handling, and reconciliation requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering and architecture teams to ensure integration requirements are clear, complete, scalable, and aligned with technical standards.
  • Document source and target systems, data requirements, integration behaviors, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate across product teams to manage cross-system impacts, sequencing, and dependencies.
  • Help identify and resolve data quality, integration, and process issues that affect business operations and user experience.

Product Delivery & Agile Execution:

  • Own product outcomes, requirements, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment in partnership with Engineering, architecture, UX, QA, and business stakeholders.
  • Write, refine, and prioritize epics, features, user stories, requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Ensure every feature and user story is connected to a defined business outcome, user need, or product KPI.
  • Identify and clear blockers, manage risks, and maintain delivery momentum across complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Lead requirements validation, user acceptance testing, rollout planning, release readiness, and post-launch adoption activities.
  • Monitor product performance after launch and use data and feedback to guide enhancements and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary product contact for FMSA integration and Trustwell capabilities across Demand Chain, Engineering, Merchandising, operations, and other partner teams.
  • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders with different priorities, ensuring clarity on scope, timelines, decisions, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
  • Serve as the voice of the user by understanding pain points and ensuring solutions address real-world business needs.
  • Clearly communicate compliance priorities, requirements, delivery plan updates, status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through transparent, data-backed prioritization and decision-making.
  • Promote operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve team processes, documentation, governance, and internal customer experience.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; master’s degree a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital product management, platform product management, or a related discipline, preferably in an integration-heavy environment.
  • Experience defining user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, workflows, and process flows for complex enterprise products.
  • Experience owning or supporting system integrations, middleware, APIs, data platforms, or enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of data flows across disparate systems, including source-to-target mapping, data transformations, validation, error handling, reconciliation, and downstream impacts.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across business, product, engineering, and technical teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience working as a Product Manager in Agile or Scrum environments, including backlog management, sprint execution, and release planning.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data, reporting, and KPIs to prioritize work and measure outcomes.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into scalable product and system requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams on integration architecture, data contracts, interface definitions, and technical constraints without needing to be the system developer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Demand Chain, Logistics, Retail, or Franchise operations.
  • Experience owning integration platforms, middleware solutions, workflow applications, data platforms, or enterprise systems.
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns, APIs, batch or event-based data exchanges, data mapping, or data quality management.
  • Experience with Trustwell or similar quality, compliance, supplier, product, or operational management platforms.
  • Experience defining application configurations, roles and permissions, reporting requirements, and workflow designs.
  • Experience partnering with enterprise architecture, data, security, QA, and integration teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business, or a related field.
  • MBA or master’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience translating business strategy into digital products and platform capabilities.

Salary/Rate: $50-$55/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
