Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Digital Product Manager to join their team. The DPMs play a pivotal role in translating company strategy into impactful execution. Each DPM supports a distinct platform domain, partners directly with a dedicated Digital Product Team, and owns responsibility for that domain’s backlog. When initiatives span multiple domains, the Initiative DPM coordinates with the relevant domain DPMs and manages cross-team dependencies to support successful initiative-level delivery.

Our backlogs are defined and prioritized against a rolling, forecasted 6-month roadmap aligned to company business goals and strategic direction. We maintain high predictability and transparency for the next 4 iterations across all Digital Product Teams.

Our operating model is rooted in product-minded, agile execution. Continuous discovery and maturity are informed by consumer, client, and internal operations insights. We support multiple revenue channels and stakeholder groups while staying focused on subscriber, client, and operational experiences.

Job Summary:

  • This position will provide DPM capacity for Enterprise Enablement, partnering with business, technology, and operational stakeholders to deliver shared capabilities that support AIP’s business commitments.
  • Enterprise Enablement is the umbrella area for shared capabilities that help business domains operate at scale. This includes Enterprise Data and Enterprise Integration capabilities such as trusted data and reporting, reusable integrations and orchestration, and secure platform services that support governance, reliability, and operational control.
  • From a DPM perspective, this role will help define priorities and measurable outcomes across Enterprise Data and Enterprise Integration, translating increased demand into well-defined, actionable work.
  • The role requires strong backlog discipline, outcome-based delivery, and the ability to coordinate dependencies so solutions are designed for reuse, scalability, governance, reliability, and enterprise-wide adoption.

Why this role is being created:

  • To meet our business commitments, we need additional DPM capacity to absorb increased demand across Enterprise Enablement. This role will help translate business and internal stakeholder needs into decision-ready priorities, actionable backlogs, and coordinated delivery across the Enterprise Data and Enterprise Integration domains.

First 3 Months Success Measures:

  • Backlog maturity improves across Enterprise Data and Enterprise Integration through consistent refinement, sequencing, and prioritization.
  • Iteration readiness is established for the next 2–4 iterations, with defined outcomes, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
  • Roadmap visibility is maintained through a current rolling 3–6 month view aligned with business and technology priorities.
  • Stakeholder alignment improves across business, technology, and operational groups through shared understanding of priorities, tradeoffs, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Key dependencies, risks, and decisions are documented, escalated when needed, and actively managed.
  • Engineering partners have well-defined backlog direction that supports accountability and predictable delivery.

Responsibilities and Expected Contributions:

Day-to-day role expectations:

  • Own, organize, prioritize, and execute the day-to-day backlogs for both Enterprise Data and Enterprise Integration DPTs.
  • Serve as the primary DPM point of contact for business, technology, and operational stakeholders.
  • Build shared understanding around problems, priorities, outcomes, tradeoffs, risks, and dependencies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve backlog maturity, roadmap readiness, stakeholder visibility, and delivery predictability.
  • Partner with engineering to drive accountability, iteration readiness, and predictable delivery.
  • Business Requirements, Story Development & Backlog Management:
  • Lead discovery, framing, pre-inception, and backlog refinement to translate stakeholder needs into well-defined problems, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes across Enterprise Data and Enterprise Integration.
  • Own a refined, INVESTable backlog and 6-month roadmap aligned to reusable, governed, and scalable enterprise capabilities.
  • Prioritize work using stakeholder input, operational insights, platform and data signals, technical dependencies, risk reduction, enablement impact, and progress against OKRs.

Execution, Coordination & Delivery Visibility:

  • Sequence work by iteration in partnership with engineering, architecture, data, security, and operations teams, balancing business commitments, technical dependencies, risk, and delivery capacity.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and tradeoffs across Enterprise Data, Enterprise Integration, and business domain teams to support initiative-level delivery.
  • Provide visibility into current priorities, delivery progress, risks, decisions, next steps, and measurable outcomes for stakeholders and Digital Product Teams.
  • Represent business domain and internal team needs in backlog refinement, iteration planning, demos, and tradeoff discussions to keep delivery aligned to agreed outcomes.
  • Evaluate enablement metrics such as adoption, data quality, reporting reliability, integration reuse, platform performance, incident trends, governance adherence, and delivery predictability.
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, security, data, and operations teams to ensure solutions are reusable, scalable, governed, reliable, and operationally supportable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills across business, product, engineering, architecture, security, data, and operations teams.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise systems, data platforms, reporting, APIs, event-driven integrations, identity and access management, governance controls, shared services, reliability, observability, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Quickly identify root causes and drive holistic, data-driven solutions.
  • Expertise in agile principles and frameworks, including XP and Scrum, throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to prioritize capabilities based on business value, enterprise reuse, enablement impact, operational risk, technical dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as VersionOne and Jira.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including code review, unit test coverage, static analysis, Definition of Done, and story estimation.

Education, Experience & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Technical background preferred.
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or Pragmatic Institute Foundations certification is an asset.

Must-Have Technical Qualifications:

  • Product ownership knowledge and experience applying agile methodologies and prioritization techniques.
  • Strong user story writing skills, including INVESTable stories, clear acceptance criteria, and Gherkin syntax.
  • Domain-driven design knowledge.
  • Product mindset, outcome-based approach, and human-centered design expertise.
  • Domain experience: Enterprise data and reporting, data governance, APIs and event-driven integrations, reliability, observability, and enterprise systems enablement.

Preferred Experiences & Skills:

  • Outcome-based delivery mindset and experience.
  • Familiarity with enterprise enablement domains, including AI-ready data, data governance, security, compliance, APIs, event-driven integration, identity and access, platform reliability, and operational automation.

Salary/Rate: $80-$95/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.

AI-Assisted Interview Experience (Pete & Gabi – Rebecca):

To provide a consistent, fair, and flexible experience for all candidates, we use AI-assisted tools to support parts of the interview process. This includes our proprietary AI platform Pete & Gabi, which includes AI recruiter Rebecca.

If you prefer a non-AI interview format, we will gladly provide an alternative.

Technical or Case Interviews (Role-Dependent):

When applying for certain tech jobs, you may participate in:

  • A technical interview
  • A coding challenge

We will always explain what to expect in advance so you can prepare with confidence.

Human Review & Selection: +

Every candidate’s profile—including interviews, conversations, and assessments—is reviewed by experienced recruiters and hiring leaders.

AI insights may assist with organization and evaluation, but final decisions are always human-driven.
