Job Description:

Location: Rockford, IL (Onsite - 5 days a week)

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Sales Support Specialist to support our aftermarket light industry sales operations across the U.S. and Canada. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth sales processes by managing high-volume order entry, supporting customer interactions, and providing administrative support to the sales team.

You will be part of a collaborative team of 12 professionals focused on maintaining and growing existing business (“farmers” supporting the sales function). This position requires a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process a high volume of sales orders via email and internal systems
  • Manage order entry, order tracking, and status updates
  • Handle RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), credit, and rebill processes
  • Communicate directly with customers via email and outbound phone calls
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate when necessary
  • Partner with the sales team to communicate customer feedback and support ongoing sales efforts
  • Verify pricing, product details, and ensure order accuracy
  • Maintain organized records and manage high-volume email/task workflows
  • Support reporting needs, including monthly sales performance updates

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or order management
  • Strong experience with order entry, order tracking, and customer communication
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aftermarket, industrial, or light manufacturing environments
  • Background in pharmaceutical companies or third-party resellers (e.g., water systems, lab supplies)
  • Familiarity with RMA, credit/rebill, and order lifecycle processes
  • Experience supporting both U.S. and Canadian customers
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (flexible based on experience)
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience required

Salary/Rate: $25-$28/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
